Whereas. The Alaskan Sled Dog and Racing Association, Inc., (“ASDRA”) and its Junior organization, the Junior Alaskan Sled Dog Racing Association (“JrASDRA”). With the aid of the sponsors, hold events, including training sessions, meetings an annual Preliminary and championship races in the Anchorage area, which encourages and Perpetuates the Alaska State Sport of dog mushing, breeding, training of Alaskan Sled dogs, sportsmanship and the humane treatment of dogs.

Whereas, JrASDRA requires that all participants in any JrASDRA activity shall read and understand the rules of the club and have on  file with the  Secretary of JrASDRA a waiver and release form covering the musher and or their families:

 IT IS THEREFORE UNDERSTOOD AND AGREED that in consideration of designated member/participant’s participation in JrASDRA events, ASDRA/JrASDRA (Including their officers, members, volunteers or sponsors) shall not be held liable for any loss, injury or damages incurred by the JrASDRA member/participant or his/her family or his/her invitees while participating in such events. Further, should any injury result in to any person rendering assistance to a musher’s team, it is understood and agreed that ASDRA/JrASDRA shall not be held liable and it is solely the owner’s responsibility. It is further agreed that ASDRA/JrASDRA and their sponsors may use photographs of the Musher, taken at JrASDRA events, for general advertising purposes. Finally, it is the Intent of everyone that this Waiver, Release and Consent is intended to be broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of The State of Alaska.

FURTHER, THE UNDERSIGNED (MUSHER & PARENT/GUARDIAN) ACKNOWLEDGE that they have read, understand, and will comply with the JrASDRA By-Laws and Racing Rules.
